4 Received The Baptism Of The Holy Ghost In Lebanon Last Night!

PENTECOST IN LEBANON!
When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2:1-4)

During our regular prayer meeting on Fridays in Lebanon that’s normally followed with praise and worship, 4 received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues just like in the Book of Acts!

THE HOLY GHOST FELL!
While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Ghost fell upon all those who heard the word. And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered, (Acts 10:44-46)

This amazing, supernatural phenomena is found recorded in the history of the early church which is recorded in Acts 2, 10 and 19, as God promised to pour out His spirit upon all flesh with an evidence of speaking in another tongue!

For these are not drunk, as you suppose, since it is only the third hour of the day. But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel: β€˜And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams. (Acts 2:15-17)

We’re glad to see God pouring out His spirit in the Middle East!

UN Says Syria Children Refugee In Lebanon Risk Starvation

Nearly 2,000 Syrian refugee children in Lebanon are in danger of starving to death if they do not receive immediate treatment, UNICEF said Tuesday, warning of a looming malnutrition crisis.

“Malnutrition is a new, silent threat among refugees in Lebanon,” said Annamaria Laurini, the U.N. children agency’s representative in Beirut.

The problem is linked to “poor hygiene, unsafe drinking water, diseases, lack of immunization and improper feeding practices of young children,” she said.

There are nearly one million registered Syrian refugees in Lebanon, including 200,000 children under the age of five.

Lebanon, with a population of just four million, has seen its already limited resources stretched to the limit by the influx of refugees.

UNICEF said a study conducted last October and November showed some 2,000 children “are at risk of dying and need immediate treatment to survive.”

The agency said it had begun treating several hundred of those in worst need.

It said the most affected regions were in northern and eastern Lebanon, where the cases of “severe acute malnutrition” doubled between 2012 and 2013.

The report warned that new arrivals and rising food prices could cause the situation to “deteriorate rapidly.”

Zeroual Azzedine, UNICEF’s chief of health and nutrition, said under-fives were the most vulnerable to malnutrition, particularly those living in harsh conditions in camps.

“The child who suffers malnutrition has no appetite, he does not want to eat… because malnutrition hits the brain first,” he said.

“Even if the child is smiling, playing, the malnutrition hits silently, hits the brain.”

He said the situation would become an emergency if the malnutrition rate among children hits 15 percent.

The current rate is six percent, but that represents the “real beginning of the crisis,” he told Agence France Presse.

The UNICEF report recommends that Lebanon’s health ministry and aid and NGO workers cooperate to monitor the situation and treat cases as they are detected.

It urges both screening of children and women and raising awareness of appropriate feeding practices for infants and young children.

Tremendous Day At Beirut Bridge Of Hope Today!!

Beirut Bridge of Hope held a tremendous event at the AOB Center in Beirut today! About 75 Syrian refugees kids together for a time of fun, food and fellowship! Our guest speakers were a group called, Hope For Kids. They travel the world, entertaining children, teaching them Biblical principles through puppetry, clown tricks, balloon creations, etc. They donated their time today and were wonderful. The children loved them!
We also had a group of teens delivered and passed out food they bought and packaged, themselves, for the children! We were so thankful for their time and donations! We were overjoyed by the overwhelming support and participation from everyone involved today! We hope to make this a regular event!

God did not change! He’s still the same yesterday, today and tomorrow!! And what He did 2000 years ago, He’s still doing it today!!
Tonight we had a 1st time visitor come to our adult youth meeting in Beirut. Our lesson was about bringing the word of God to remembrance, and our visitor got curious and started asking questions. We shared with him the Christian faith and the Gospel according to the Apostles of Christ: Christ’s death, burial and resurrection and Jesus’s commandment that those who believe must be baptized.
Our visitor asked to pray and as we prayed with him, the Holy Ghost fell on him just like it did on Cornelius in the Book of Acts chapter 10 and verse 44, then we commanded him to be baptized like Peter did in Acts 10:47-48!
He came out of the water rejoicing as the spirit of God was poured on him! Glory to God!!
This is the 2nd X-Muslim who’s received the baptism of the Holy Ghost this month! —Revival!!

We look forward to more souls coming to Christ this 2014!
